SBS Philosophy and Values
SBS students will acquire two languages in a natural context to fully develop their linguistic potential and communication skills. Students will be developed as initiators, critical analysts and independent thinkers who thrive in problem solving and decision making. SBS aims to cultivate ambitious students, who will become leaders and contributors in the social and economic development of Thailand.
Teaching and Learning: SBS follows a model of student-centred process-based teaching. Teachers understand that their role is as a facilitator of learning.
Learner development: Students are encourage to ask questions. The school seeks to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring individuals who are confident, responsible, reflective and engaged. Students are expected to be confident in the use of two or more languages.
Academic Quality / Rigour: SBS offers academically challenging programmes, especially in mathematics and science, that are balanced and meet both the minimum standards of the Thai Ministry of Education and the expectations of “challenging programmes of international education”. Assessment of student performance will be authentic and rigorous. (IBO)
Diversity and Personal Responsibility: Local (Thai) and global perspectives are included throughout the curriculum and other school activities in order to “encourage students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people with their differences, can also be right.” (IBO) and that everyone shares the responsibility for our planet.
SBS is a bilingual school providing a Thai education while meeting international education standards enabling students to fulfill their academic potential and develop essential life skills to become compassionate, honest and responsible global citizens.
SBS Deutsches Schulprogramm
Die SATIT Bilingual School ist eine Schule, die für das kommende Schuljahr die Einrichtung eines neuen deutschen Zweigs für die Schüler aus der Deutschland, der Schweiz und Österreich plant. Neben dem reinen Spracherwerb werden auch länderkundliche Inhalte dieser drei Länder in den Lehrplan integriert.
